The #BlackLove Hashtag, Segregation & Color-Blindness

It’s very ironic that mainstream media is pushing IRs on Black women, given our painful history. When we push back against it, we’re being called “racist”, or “bigoted”, blind to their own prejudices. They just project their longstanding racism/ethnocentrism onto sistas, scapegoating us while they believe in their arrogance and lies with ease and without consequences.

Please forgive me if you think the title question was/is ignorant. Or stupid. Or pointless. I thought the same when I saw the question posed on my Facebook feed. Check it out:

My (former) Facebook friend went on to say that #blacklove and websites like BlackPeopleMeet.com promote segregation, since they celebrate only dating within your race and people should just be “happy within their love”.  My answer to our ignorant Jane Doe is this:
